On Sunday, April 20, 2026, Ms. Brenda Dupree delivered a brief presentation at New Living Word Ministries focused on the importance of voting and making voices heard.
Speaking to those in attendance, she referenced the amendments and explained the closed party system. She encouraged participation in every election, emphasizing the need for consistent voter engagement.
Written materials were also distributed during the outreach effort. These included the Know Before You Go brochure from the Bienville Parish Registrar of Voters Office, a brochure addressing voting for individuals who have previously been incarcerated, a brochure from Black Voters Matter, and a compiled list of websites for further review.
In total, 100 brochures and family packets were distributed. The primary focus of the effort was to was to get the information into the hands of the people.
Ms. Brenda Dupree is a strong leader on the Political Action Committee of the NAACP Arcadia-Bienville Branch.
