Membership Committee

Chair: Mrs. Peggy Wright

Membership in the NAACP gives individuals the opportunity to support civil rights advocacy and community engagement at both the local and national levels. Members strengthen the local branch by participating in meetings, supporting initiatives, and staying informed about issues affecting civil rights and equal access.

Individuals who support the mission of the NAACP are welcome and encouraged to become members. Active participation in organized efforts, including meetings, supporting programs, and contributing to informed community advocacy strengthens the branches efforts to promote education, advocacy, and community awareness. Use this link to complete our membership registration form.

The Membership Committee shall:

(1) work throughout the year to maintain and increase the membership of the Association;
(2) be responsible for planning and organizing the annual membership campaign;
(3) be responsible on a continuous basis for soliciting new members and for securing renewals; and
(4) initiate all possible means to obtain Life Members and sponsor a continuing program toward this end.

Message from Arcadia Bienville Branch 61AD-B, President McArthur Simmons

Our mission has always been clear: to secure political, educational, social, and economic equality for all, and to eliminate race-based discrimination in every form. Here in our community, that mission comes to life through service, connection, and action. We are committed to providing meaningful information, building stronger relationships, and creating real opportunities that improve the lives of the people we serve.

The work of justice and equality continues, and it takes all of us. We invite you to stand with us, get involved, and be part of a network that is active, engaged, and focused on making a lasting difference. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier, and more equitable community.
