The Freedom Fund Committee plays a critical role in maintaining the branch’s capacity to operate effectively and consistently. Its work supports the long-term stability of the branch and its ability to carry out its mission. It is responsible for planning and supporting fundraising activities which provide financial support for education, outreach, youth engagement, and administrative needs. The committee ensures that all fundraising efforts are conducted with responsible stewardship of funds in accordance with NAACP policies and accountability.
The Freedom Fund Committee shall:
(1) plan and conduct fundraising activities, entertainment, and other projects for local and national purposes within the scope of the Association’s program. It shall work closely with the Finance Committee.
