Know Your Labs: “Implications for Health and Nutrition”

February 12, 2026

The Community Coordination Council (CCC), in collaboration with the Community Enrichment Group and community sponsor NAACP Arcadia-Bienville 61 AD, was proud to host “Know Your Labs: Implications for Health and Nutrition” in observance of Heart Health Month. Special thanks to Ms. Peggy Wright, who served as the featured speaker and helped make this important community event impactful and informative.

This collaborative effort highlighted the importance of understanding your lab values, partnering with your healthcare provider, and making informed choices that support heart health. Participants received valuable information on nutrition, prevention, and how regular communication with your doctor can improve overall wellness.

We also emphasized the importance of movement — even small, consistent physical activity can strengthen the heart, reduce stress, and improve overall quality of life.
Community partnerships like these help us educate, empower, and promote healthier communities together.
