Healthy Aging Conference Scheduled
The Arcadia-Bienville NAACP Unit is pleased to announce its Healthy Aging Conference that will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026 at the Eugene Smith Event Center in Arcadia, Louisiana. The conference begins at 8:30 AM and a continental breakfast will be available. The conference is free and open to the public.
This is a community-level approach to address health disparities which impact the health and well-being of adults in our community. The conference’s theme is Moving Through Life with Health, Grace, and Power. The workshops presented throughout the day aim to promote knowledge and understanding of practices to enhance the aging experience, and to identify community resources that address the needs of middle age to older adults. Developing and maintaining healthy aging practices throughout the lifespan contributes to greater resilience and opportunities to thrive as we age.
