May 16. 2026
The NAACP Annual 2026 Freedom Fund Banquet was held Saturday evening, May 16. 2026, with a strong show of support from members, community leaders, sponsors, and guests from across the area.
One of the major purposes of our annual banquet is to help invest in the future of our young people through scholarships for graduating high school seniors. This year, three deserving graduates received scholarships in recognition of their hard work, academic achievement, leadership, and future goals.
Throughout the evening, speakers reflected on the importance of education, civic engagement, unity, and continued advocacy within our communities. The banquet also highlighted the continued growth and work of the branch and its committees, including the expanding involvement of WIN – Women in the NAACP.
The Freedom Fund Banquet remains one of the branch’s most important annual events as we continue working to support our community while helping open doors for the next generation.
